Thanks, everyone for your comments. This photo was taken just as the sun was rising, and there was this beautiful pink color that lasted for about ten to fifteen minutes. I had been in Portland for four days, and this was my fourth visit to the lighthouse. As I viewed the images on my camera's LCD screen, I knew that I had captured a magical moment.

This is a nicely crafted image. You could have over-processed it in Photoshop and taken all the life out of it. Instead, the shadow detail in the rocks is right, and the entire scene is as the eye would see it. #3744757
