Cell Block at Eastern State Penitentiary
Monochrome Version. This prison (now a museum) is located in Philadelphia not far from downtown. It was active between 1829 and 1971. It was the prototype for a particular design of prison copied in the US at a few location and in many locations in Europe. The design focused on solitary and silent confinement.
